A Thank You Letter from Pastor Abdon

$15,500.00 Raised in Support of our Friends at
Auberge des Vieillards in Pignon, Haiti!!!

We cannot say it loud enough, or big enough, or enough enough.
But even better if the Thank You comes straight from
Pastor Abdon and the Church in Pignon.

From: The Ministerial Committee helping the elderly and disabled.

To: Highview Community Church which supports the Home for the elderly and disabled.

Greetings and Thanks.

Dear Sisters and Brothers in the Lord,

The Ministry Committee to help the elderly and disabled in Pignon greets you in the name of Jesus. The Committee would like to take this opportunity to thank you for all your dedication, hard work, and prayer to support the program that has been helping the elderly and disabled in Haiti for 4 years. Thank you very much.

The purpose of this letter is for the Haitian committee to send greetings and congratulations to all teams, EMCC, Brother Brian, Pastor Ruth Anne, Highview Church leaders and members, on a special day that Highview Church is raising money to support programs for the elderly and disabled. We thank God for the good deeds and these funds that help in taking care of the beneficiaries and continue to do some construction work that is not yet completed.

The AEM Haiti Mission, the Pignon Church, the elderly and all the disabled, the employees and the committee members thank you very much and hope that we will always remain steadfast in our efforts.

Please accept these thanks in Christ.

Pr. Abdon, Madame Lumide, Pr. St. Fleur, Deacon Cadil Joseph

What an amazing event all around, made possible by so many contributors and volunteers,
all working together towards caring for vulnerable seniors in Haiti.

And here they are.

Special thanks to our energetic and classy meal serve crew, pictured above.  Also to Lillian and the entire kitchen staff for the turkey dinner.  As well as Brian and all who contributed to the good selection of auction items.  Colin was once again our boots on the ground gathering donations for the meal.

Everyone who donated an item, made and/or served a dessert, cooked a turkey, set up a table, served a meal, purchased a ticket, set up a video, brought a table cloth, washed the dishes, peeled potatoes and carrots, vacuumed afterwards, decorated a bulletin board, lugged stuff up and down the stairs, purchased an auction item, made stuffing, or in any other way helped make it happen -- You rock!

Let's not forget to keep on praying for our brothers and sisters in Haiti, who serve God and live life in the midst of chaotic circumstances that continue to plague the country.

Thank God for how His light pushes back the darkness in so many ways all around the world.
